Geez! I want to see a lot more watercolors, if this is how you start the party! You make such beautiful use of the natural wildness of the way watercolors layer and build upon each other. Her forehead and nose are positively dimensional. While simple, the background is equally gorgeous. The clipped hair is perfect. Really, I am in love with this portrait.
Wow, really pretty Ann! You have a lovely way with skin tones and colour here. I think the hair is especially wonderful with all of the brown and light tones. Keep going with the watercolours. Personally, I find them way less effort than the acrylics. And you can wash away many mistakes which is my favourite part :)
