I did manage to do a canvas while Sarah was here, and it was the "word" challenge on wonderstrange - namely, to create a canvas inspired by a word that isn't "hope," "believe," "faith," or any other word you can find on scores of other work.
My word was "both," because that's something I really need to work on. I can have a day that is BOTH productive AND frustrating. I can have an experience that is BOTH rewarding AND disappointing. I do not have to pick one or the other. I can embrace both.
I love your Both! When I first saw the background colors I knew I would love whatever you put on top. Terrific!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful, love the colours, and the girl - fantastic! Valerie

ReplyDeleteOooooh, she's a stunner! With an entirely fabulous prominent nose. The lettering style of Both is SO GREAT. Admittedly it is a bit hard to read the other stuff (but the lettering looks very nice for that bit too!) Love the beehive! Love those background colors. :D

YAY! I agree, Both! For me, I would like both the cake and the creme brulee, please. That is a gorgeous background. And I love her hair! She reminds me of Lily Allen, whom I adore. And how fitting, because Ms. Allen is both tough and vulnerable. Fantastic piece!
